Strength and running analysis

Strength Analysis

At our clinic, we use VALD force plates and handheld dynamometers to accurately measure strength, balance, and movement patterns. These tools help assess injuries, track rehab progress, and guide treatment plans with real, measurable data.

  • VALD Force Plates: Analyze how you distribute weight, balance, and generate force—key for lower limb injuries, return-to-sport decisions, and performance training.

  • Handheld Dynamometer: Measures muscle strength in specific areas, helping to identify weaknesses, guide rehab, and prevent re-injury.

By using these advanced assessment tools, we can create personalized rehab programs, monitor improvements over time, and ensure you’re recovering safely and effectively.

Running analysis

Running analysis is a powerful tool for both running athletes and recreational walkers to improve performance and help with injury. Jamie will assess your running technique, posture, foot strike, and movement patterns to identify inefficiencies or areas of strain.

Using video analysis in connection with force plates, and strength testing he can pinpoint issues such as overstriding, poor biomechanics, or muscle imbalances.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking to prevent one, or aiming to run faster and more efficiently, a running analysis can help you move stronger, safer, and smarter.

Injury Prevention

Physiotherapy isn’t just for recovery—it’s a key tool in preventing injuries before they happen. By assessing movement, strength, and flexibility, physiotherapists can identify muscle imbalances, poor biomechanics, or weak areas that may lead to injury.

Through targeted exercises, hands-on therapy, and movement retraining, physiotherapy helps improve strength, mobility, and stability, reducing strain on joints and muscles. Whether you’re an athlete or just staying active, physiotherapy keeps your body moving safely and efficiently, so you can stay injury-free and perform at your best.

This program is designed for anyone dealing with lingering issues, recurrent injuries, or old injuries that never fully recovered. Over 12 weeks, we focus on building strength, restoring movement, and reducing the risk of future setbacks.

With a personalised plan, guided progression, and ongoing support, you’ll not only improve performance but also develop long-term resilience so you can move with confidence again.

How we do it

  • Face-to-face testing & goal planning to set a clear starting point and pathway forward

  • Individualised app-based rehab & strength program tailored to your needs

  • Weekly catch-ups to review progress and adjust as needed
