FAQ's
Am I covered by ACC?
ACC injuries are deemed to be caused by an accident. Generally from a fall, slip, trip, sudden movement. If you have an injury, you are always best to talk to the Physio and they can help you determine if you are covered by ACC.
Is there a cost to see the Physio?
Generally, yes. ACC covers part of the cost to see a physiotherapist. Every clinic has its own surcharge. Here at The Physio Collective, we aim to keep these costs low to help our community get great quality treatment for their injuries.
What can I expect in a Physio session?
Initial and follow-up sessions are different. The initial session, the Physio will ask you about your injury and do some tests to determine what's causing it. The Physio will look to review not only the injury, but look at what "collectively" may be causing you to get injured in the first place. The Physio will then create a plan with you on how to manage and what ongoing treatment will look like. This may be hands on treatment but is dependant on how long it takes to diagnose you injury and make a plan with you on how to best treat it.

A follow-up session will usually entail a quick review of the injury, hands on treatment if needed and rehab as required.
